Why study archetypes? How can the Jungian and Archetypal Studies (DJA) curriculum help us to understand their effects on us?

Join Dr. Keiron Le Grice, DJA Specialization Chair, for a discussion on archetypes and their place in human experience. The talk will be followed by an open discussion in which Dr. Le Grice will be happy to answer any questions about the Jungian and Archetypal Studies program. He will be joined by Christine Martinez, the program's admissions advisor, who can offer guidance about application and the admissions process.


legrice_keironKeiron is Core Faculty and Chair of the Jungian and Archetypal Studies specialization of the Depth Psychology program at Pacifica. He was educated at the University of Leeds, England (B.A. honors Philosophy and Psychology) and the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco (M.A. and Ph.D. Philosophy and Religion). He is the author of four books including The Archetypal Cosmos: Rediscovering the Gods in Myth, Science, and AstrologyThe Rebirth of the Hero: Mythology as a Guide to Spiritual Transformation, and Archetypal Reflections: Insights and Ideas from Jungian Psychology. A founding editor of Archai: The Journal of Archetypal Cosmology, Dr. Le Grice now serves as Senior Editorial Advisor at Archai and as commissioning editor for Muswell Hill Press in London. Courses Taught in the Jungian and Archetypal Studies Specialization: Archetypes: Universal Patterns of the PsycheSynchronicity and the New SciencesAlchemy of TransformationIntroduction to Depth Psychology.
